Rail upgrade

NETWORK Rail is upgrading its fleet management system to improve the operation of its rapid response vehicles.

The company can now remotely monitor and control its fleet of vehicles, which are used to offer ‘first aid’ in rail operations, such as tackling track or signal problems before engineers arrive or dealing with acts of vandalism.

The system upgrade being supplied by Eagle Eye Telematics will give control managers the ability to track the whereabouts of each vehicle in their area.
