Budget launches business rental scheme

A NEW rental loyalty scheme which promises discounts and upgrades is being targeted at small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The scheme from Budget Rent-a-Car is called BusinessConnections and will offer a 5% discount on each rental.

Jill Grinsted, sales and marketing director at Budget, said: ‘BusinessConnections will offer SMEs even greater value and control over their rental requirements. It’s easy to sign up to our new programme and on top of regular discounts, member companies will have access to a host of regular special offers and complimentary upgrades.’

A similar scheme called CorpRate is also being aimed at larger companies. This also offers discounts and a fleet account manager.

Budget also recently announced that it is rolling out portable satellite navigation units for rental at selected UK branches.

The TomTom Go 900 system will be offered at 24 locations from £7.50 per day.
