JAGUAR has announced that from now on all X-type diesels will be Euro IV-compliant, foregoing the 3% benefit-in-kind surcharge.

A price hike of £500 and slight increase in CO2 for Euro IV models from 149 to 152g/km means that a 40% taxpayer in a 2.0d Classic saloon would save £129 per year.

Jaguar’s corporate operations manager James Drake-Lee said: ‘The X-type diesel has always been a competitive fleet proposition , which has led to record corporate sales numbers of over 10,000 this year.’

The range starts at £20,995 on-the-road.
