CV Show 2005: Chevin launches new duty-of-care software package

COMPUTER software expert Chevin used the show to launch a new duty of care software package which aims to allow firms to help manage employee-owned vehicles.

The pay-as-you-go package was launched after Chevin sponsored a series of fleet safety seminars and discovered that many organisations were struggling to make their ‘grey’ fleets compliant with health and safety regulations.

The new package holds details of employees and their vehicles, including driving licence, eye tests, MoTs, insurance, NCAP rating, driver training and appraisal, road tax, servicing and accidents.

Automatic emails can be sent to drivers reminding them of key events such as when MoTs are due and when insurance must be renewed.
