Update on frontier procedures

THE European Union Council of Ministers has been asked to support the simplification of global rules on carrying animals, food and other perishable goods across national frontiers.

The European Commission wants drafted changes to the International Convention on the Harmonisation of Frontier Controls of Goods to become EU law. They reduce, harmonise and co-ordinate procedures for such cargoes.
