New post for ex-Emap man

KEN Forbes has been appointed as managing director of SsangYong UK.

Forbes is former managing director of Fleet News publisher Emap Automotive and has a strong background in the industry.

He joined Ford as a graduate trainee and spent a number of years in management there, before joining Citroen.

He spent 13 years with the UK arm of the French manufacturer, the last five as sales director.

Forbes’ appointment follows the establishment of a nationwide dealership base over the past two years. SsangYong is preparing to introduce three new models and hopes to double the size of its 53-dealership network.
