Advertorial: Custom Fleet Direct has the answer for smaller fleets

RUNNING the company car fleet can be time consuming, laborious and one of the greatest areas of internal dispute. For small to medium size businesses that need the mobility but don’t want the hassle, there is now a solution that meets all their needs.

Contract hire and fleet management provider, Custom Fleet, has launched Custom Fleet Direct, its new customer direct proposition that can handle the funding, running, maintenance and disposal of smaller fleets of cars and vans, leaving the end user free to focus on core business activities.

Custom Fleet Direct aims to remove the administrative burden associated with running a small fleet of company vehicles by providing a dedicated fleet manager to look after the day-to-day running of the fleet, from a separate department within the Custom Fleet contract hire and fleet management operation.

The new proposition has its own dedicated website at www.customfleetdirect.co.uk which outlines the services that are available including online quotations via a quick price guide for most ranges of cars and vans in the UK market based on three years/45,000 mile contract periods.

Quotations can also be provided for different terms or with additional options.

Customers of Custom Fleet Direct can benefit from:

  • A specialist team who understand smaller fleet requirements.
  • The vast purchasing power of Custom Fleet which operates over 18,000 cars on behalf of UK corporate customers.
  • A dedicated service purely for smaller sized fleets.

Custom Fleet Direct manager, Elizabeth Hendry, said that small businesses had varying mobility needs but often didn’t have dedicated staff who can look after the running and increasingly complex administration of the fleet.

“Often the fleet gets tacked on to the role of the purchasing manager or the PA to the managing director, who usually don’t have the time or expertise to effectively run the fleet.

“What we can do through Custom Fleet Direct is provide a dedicated and customer-friendly fleet manager who will reduce the administrative burden of managing your fleet.

“Our slogan is 'Run your business, let us manage your fleet' – and we mean that 100%.”

Custom Fleet is a major player in the UK fleet market and operates a fleet of around 18,000 vehicles on behalf of their customers.

It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Australia Bank Group, one of the world’s leading financial institutions with worldwide assets in excess of £90 billion.

That amount of purchasing power can work to the benefit of a small to medium size fleet that would not necessarily be able to command such competitive prices in the market.

And the same applies to tyres, maintenance and a myriad of other fleet services which Custom Fleet’s clout in the market allows them to purchase at very competitive rates.

The Custom Fleet Direct proposition applies equally to businesses running from one to 20 cars and even to sole traders and individuals, through an assortment of funding packages including contract hire, contract purchase, personal leasing and personal contract purchase plans.

“We can be very flexible in our funding offers and with a major banking group behind us, have access to very competitive rates of finance.

“That makes the finance proposition very attractive and gives access to rates that the company may not be able to secure in its own right,” says Elizabeth Hendry.

“This is not a one-size-fits-all operation.

“Our aim is to provide the small to medium size business user with an individual, cradle-to-grave, all-embracing support package and service to assist with the smooth and efficient running of their fleet, allowing them to concentrate on the thing that really matters – their core business activities,” adds Elizabeth Hendry.
