CITROEN'S new Relay is its first van to offer a four tonne gross vehicle weight.

‘The new Relay sets the standard in the 3.0 – 4.0 tonne gvw sector,’ said Robert Handyside, Citroen UK’s commercial vehicles operations manager.

‘It is the only van with Trafficmaster Smartnav GPS Satellite Navigation and Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking systems as standard.’

Citroen also says the new Relay is the widest panel van in its sector, has the lowest rear loading height and has service intervals extended to 25,000 miles.

Low insurance grouping and high residual values will help to cut operating costs and boost profit earning potential too,’ said Handyside.

Relay panel van load volumes range from 8.0m3 to 17.0m3, with payloads up to 1,995kg. Prices start at £15,150 + VAT + delivery.

  • The new Euro IV engine for the new Relay van range will also run on up to 30% biodiesel. The 2.2 litre unit is rated at 100hp (74kW), 120hp (88kW) or 160hp (115kW). The 100bhp unit drives through a five-speed box, while the two higher powered units drive through six-speed boxes.
