THREE vehicles achieved the highest five-star rating in the latest round of Euro NCAP crash testing.

The Ford Galaxy, Mercedes-Benz B-class and the Citröen C4 Picasso were awarded the top score for adult protection, while the Mazda3 and Audi Q7 achieved four stars.

The tests are conducted by the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP). Each of the five vehicles achieved two stars out of a maximum four for pedestrian protection.

The B-class, Galaxy and Q7 achieved four stars out of a possible five for child protection, while the Mazda3 and Picasso managed three. For a full list of models tested, visit www.euroncap.com.
