What’s been your greatest challenge since you took the role of sales director?
Given that I am new to the industry, there have been two major challenges since I started in May. The first was learning the industry and the second has been to re-align our sales strategy.
What are the main issues facing fleets?
Duty of care due to a larger number of employees opting out of traditional car schemes. Other big subjects are environmental issues, tougher legislation and funding options to ensure maximum cost-efficiency.
What is an average day for you?
It starts with a considerable car journey as my team is spread throughout the UK. I also spend a lot of time visiting companies and exploring opportunities.
What has been your best career move?
The change from sales director to operations director during my previous employment. Having experience in both roles enables me to ensure my account management and sales teams work together.
