CITROËN could launch more fleet-specific trim levels across its model range in the future.

The firm already offers VTX versions of the C5 and Xsara Picasso, offering extra equipment allied to a low P11D price.

And the French manufacturer has hinted that the lower-medium sector C4 range could be next in line for the VTX treatment.

A spokesman said: ‘The package is good. It aims to make life easier for company car drivers and with a lower price results in them paying lower benefit-in-kind taxation.’

Last month, the manufacturer’s Xsara Picasso Compact MPV was launched with three new VTX models, which, bosses say, are ‘designed to appeal to company car drivers looking for a practical and very well-equipped car’.

None were on display on Citroën’s stand, which instead featured the UK debut of the C6 executive saloon and displays of two concept cars – the C-Buggy and C-Airplay.
