Users of the website voted for their favourite movie car chase of all time from a shortlist of 10 selected by CCD. Clips from each film were available on the website.
The winner, with (23%) of the total vote, was Ronin, with Robert De Niro leading a team of mercenaries in an armed robbery attempt through Paris.
The iconic Bullitt, starring Steve McQueen, came second (18%) and The Blues Brothers was third, with 17% of the vote.
This was the first of CCD’s regular polls designed to help build a community for drivers on the site. CCD gave Ronin on DVD to the first person to email CCD@emap.com – David Digby, head of sales at Truck Support Services, Dorchester.
