Fiat, Citroën and Peugeot have unveiled a trio of vans which will form an extra link in their chain of LCVs.

The Fiat Fiorino, Citroën Nemo and Peugeot Bipper will go on sale next spring and will sit alongside the existing Doblo Cargo, Berlingo and Partner, which have slightly larger load capacities.

With a length of 3.86 metres, the new vehicles offer a load capacity of 2.5 cubic metres. This can be increased to 2.8 cubic metres and the working length expanded to 2.5 metres if a fold-away passenger seat is specified. Payload is 610kg.

There will be a choice of 1.4-litre 75bhp petrol or 1.4-litre 70bhp turbodiesel powerplants. The diesel emits 119g/km of CO2 and returns 63mpg on the combined cycle. An automatic option will be available on diesel versions.

Standard kit will include ABS and a driver’s airbag.
