FIAT has revealed details of its 500 city car which will go on sale in the UK early next year.

Following the successes of the Grande Punto and Panda, Fiat is continuing its strategy of concentrating on its strengths as a small car maker with the 500, which will come with either a 75bhp 1.3 Multijet turbodiesel or two petrol engines – a 69bhp 1.2 or a 100bhp 1.4.

The 500’s look is influenced by the Nuova Fiat 500 which was introduced 50 years ago.
