Tyre warning

Department for Transport figures show that a third of all road crashes resulting in injury are as a result of under-inflated or defective tyres.

A survey by fleet management firm Total Motion found that a quarter of fleet cars checked were not roadworthy, mostly due to tyre problems. Total Motion has teamed up with hydraulics firm Pirtek to market Quik-Chek, a device that measures tyre pressure.
