Free online safety benchmarking

Fleet operators are being encouraged to make use of a free online safety benchmarking tool which allows them to compare their fleet safety records against the industry’s leaders.

The project, run by Interactive Driving Systems, recently applied for additional funding from the Department for Transport so it can continue to offer the service.

Major fleet operators such as BT and Royal Mail have already signed up, although smaller fleets are also being encouraged to answer the online audits and benchmark their performance against the 305 companies that have so far anonymously entered their fleet safety records and policies.

Fleet managers who answer 10 basic questions at fleetsafetybenchmarking.net will get immediate feedback on how they compare.
