Citroen has launched two new special edition vehicles to enhance its C1 and C3 Pluriel ranges.

The Code range is based on the cars' top trim levels, with a variety of additional equipment.

A C2 Code was launched last year.

The C1 Code sports black metallic paint and 14-inch alloy wheels on the outside.

Inside, the seats are clad in leather and Alcantara and there are lashings of chrome trim.

Available in three and five door variants, the C1 Code also features a CD player, remote central locking, electric windows and four airbags.

It is powered by a 1-litre, 68bhp engine which emits 109g/km and returns 60mpg.

The C3 Pluriel Code has pearlescent black paint and 15-inch alloys, and will make 41mpg from its 1.4-litre, 75bhp engine.

It has a leather interior and a fully retractable electric roof.

The C1 Code costs £7,945 for the three door version and £8,925 for the five door.

The C3 Pluriel Code is £12,895.
