Hot pro_cee'd in the works at Kia

Kia is working on hot version of its three-door pro_cee’d hatchback.

The car is unlikely to join the line-up any time soon – sources say it could be up to two years away.

But the firm believes that the chassis is more than capable of handling 180bhp or more.

However, a production version of the cee’d convertible concept seen at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show is less likely.

Insiders say that the project would have to be contracted out, as there are insufficient production resources to build the car at Kia’s cee’d production plant in Slovakia.
