Upmarket large Citroën unveiled in Shanghai

Citroën has unveiled the latest model in its upmarket DS line at the Shanghai motor show.

The DS5, due for launch in the UK in 2012, will be the first Citroën model to use Hybrid4 technology, promising a diesel-electric powertrain with a combined 200bhp but achieving CO2 emissions of 99g/km.

Although sharing major components with the Citroën C5, the DS5 is considerably shorter and has a five-door hatchback profile, thile the interior also has many unique features.

However, Citroën claims it is exceptionally roomy and practical.
