Phillips joins Volkswagen Group Leasing

Volkswagen Group Leasing (VGL), the fleet and corporate leasing arm of Volkswagen Financial Services, has appointed Martin Phillips as head of fleet operations as it ramps up its activity within the market.

The role is newly-created and will focus on delivering efficient and scalable services to existing and new VGL customers, whilst ensuring the fleet operations team maintains the high levels of industry knowledge and expertise.

Graham Wheeler, managing director of Volkswagen Financial Services and Volkswagen Group Leasing, said; “Having Martin’s operational expertise is a major step forward for Volkswagen Group Leasing. Martin’s industry knowledge and strategic planning will be vital as VGL aims to become one of the top three Fleet providers in the UK and expand on its existing fleet of 46,000 vehicles.

“Martin already has experience of our multi-marque products and services and is looking to improve the service to fleets nationwide.”

Martin brings a wealth of motor-industry knowledge as he was head of operations at ING Car Lease UK between 2001 and 2008 before running his own on-line and fleet consultancy business from 2008.
