Cenex, the UK’s centre of excellence for low carbon and fuel cell technologies, will host its fifth annual Low Carbon Vehicle (LCV) event on September 5 and 6 at Millbrook Proving Ground.

The two-day event is expected to attract more than 2,500 visitors, including politicians, technologists, engineers and end-users and up to 200 exhibitors.

LCV2012 will showcase the capabilities of UK technology providers and universities, positioning the UK as a leader in low carbon vehicle technology development, and showcasing the latest low and ultra-low carbon vehicles with a ride and drive experience around Millbrook Proving Ground’s extensive tracks.

Group head of powertrain engineering and sales at Millbrook Proving Ground, Neil Fulton, explained: “The LCV Event is a real highlight for Millbrook and we are pleased to have Cenex on site with us again this year.

“The event brings together automotive and low carbon experts from all over the world and it will influence the development of future vehicles.

“The sharp rise in the number of low carbon vehicles over recent years has seen a shift in development, testing and approval procedures and Millbrook is playing a key role in bringing these types of vehicle to market.”
