Fix Auto UK had plenty of cause to celebrate after three franchisees scooped a hat-trick of honours during the annual Bodyshop Magazine 2013 Awards ceremony held in Birmingham.

Fix Auto Cardiff South was named as the industry’s Large Bodyshop of the Year for an unprecedented second successive year; Fix Auto Sutton-in-Ashfield was presented with the highly contested Consumer Choice Award; and Fix Auto Rochdale’s commercial vehicle repair operation CCE won the Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop of the Year title for the fourth time.

Steve Peart, who owns and manages Fix Auto Cardiff South, said: “To win the Large Bodyshop of the Year award once is a major achievement; to win it for a second successive time has never happened before in our industry. To say I am completely overwhelmed is an understatement.”

He added: “Whilst I was presented with the award, it really belongs to each and every person involved in our business. I couldn’t be happier.”

Fix Auto Sutton-in-Ashfield – owned and managed by Steve Cook - is one of the smallest, in terms of workshop size within the Fix Auto UK network of 65 repair centres.

However, as Cook and his team have proven, they more than punch above their weight in terms of workmanship, expertise and customer satisfaction by fending off repair centres more than treble their size for the Consumer Choice Award.

He said: “I’m absolutely thrilled with this award.  It goes to show just what can be achieved with the right team around you.

“I have always said that I’ve never wanted my repair centre to be the biggest in the business, just the best and thanks to the support and guidance I have received since joining the Fix Auto UK network, we can now safely say we are, the best in the business when it comes to customer service.”

Commenting on his award, Fix Auto Rochdale owner Phil Ewbank said: “I am delighted for the entire team involved. They have worked incredibly hard over the past two years establishing some new areas of business which we have explored and the award recognises just what they have achieved.”

Fix Auto UK also had finalists in several other categories including the Thatcham Craft Awards, the VDA of the Year Award, and the Small Bodyshop of the Year Award.

Ian Pugh, Fix Auto UK’s managing director, said: “I am really proud to see so that many Fix Auto franchisees made it through to the finals.

“It truly represented Fix Auto’s position as the largest full-branded repair network in the UK and reflects the great businesses we have in our network. I am delighted for Steve, Steve and Phil, and the jurors have deservedly rewarded them for their endeavours.”
