Fleet service and management suppliers are being invited to share their views on the proposal for a new framework agreement with social housing providers.

North West social housing procurement consortium, Procure Plus, is holding a focus group on Monday, March 11, 2013 at its offices in Trafford to discuss plans to consolidate two existing frameworks into one fleet management framework.

Currently, Procure Plus, has two separate framework agreements - one for leasing and the outright purchase of vehicles, and a second for services including maintenance, breakdown assistance, fuel cards, and driver assessment and training.

Under new plans, Procure Plus is looking to consolidate these two areas into a single framework agreement consisting of a choice of fleet management companies.

Clare Tetlow, senior procurement manager at Procure Plus, said: “Fleet management is an important part of any business, and especially for social housing providers that need to maintain great standards of service at all times.

“With this in mind, we want to enhance our offer for landlords to provide a one stop shop that is focused on helping them make the right choices and deliver value for money.

“Before we make the move to this new way of working however, we’re keen to hear from the industry and get their feedback on the merits of this proposed strategy.

“As such, we’re holding a focus group where attendees can share their thoughts and views, help us shape the new framework, plus meet some potential housing provider customers.”

The focus group is being held on Monday March 11, 2013, with a maximum of two attendees per organisation permitted.

To get involved, suppliers need to register their details on the Procure Plus tender management system at by 5pm on Monday, March 4, 2013.

Prior to the focus group, registered suppliers will also have the chance to submit their questions via Procure Plus’ online Forum.

The portal, which is being used for the first time as part of the market engagement, is designed to encourage greater collaboration and sharing between all parties.
