The Arnold Clark group has become the first car dealer group to join TyreSafe, spreading the tyre safety message in Scotland and northern England.

With 109 dealerships in Scotland, and a further 36 branches in England, car owners will now enjoy even greater access to a range of tyre safety advice and information when buying a new car or having their existing model serviced.

Stuart Jackson, chairman, TyreSafe, said: “A quick visit to Arnold Clark’s website shows that car safety has always been a high priority, with tyre safety in particular enjoying special importance.

“And now that it’s joined TyreSafe, more and more customers will have access to a greater variety of tyre safety advice and educational material, which will ensure that the tyre safety message reaches far and wide, helping to reduce the number of tyre related casualties on our roads.”

As TyreSafe’s newest member, Arnold Clark will quickly be championing tyre safety month across its 145 network, including offering free tyre safety checks throughout October.

Customers can also benefit from a variety tyre safety advice and material, including how to check tyres for the correct air pressure. The firm was named AM’s tyre retailer of the year in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
