Chargemaster acquires Charging Solutions

Chargemaster, a leading provider of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, has acquired Charging Solutions, which supplies a complete range of charge points, associated electric vehicle charging products and services.

The acquisition sees founder and managing director of Charging Solutions, James Jean-Louis, become group commercial director of Chargemaster.

Charging Solutions will remain an independent brand, working within the Chargemaster group to further develop its range of equipment and services, such as the 'Ev Rescue' portable EV charging system.

David Martell, founder and chief executive of Chargemaster, said: "We have started 2014 extremely strongly, both in the UK and other markets, with sales growth of over 150% compared with last year.

“I am delighted that we continue to expand with a group that now includes Charging Solutions and am very pleased that James will become part of the team."

Jean-Louis added: "I am really excited to be bringing Charging Solutions into the Chargemaster family and joining the executive team.

“It is a natural fit, with the collective group's market experience and expertise, which will help ensure that we are well positioned to grow rapidly in the future."

Chargemaster is the largest supplier of EV infrastructure in the UK with over 9,000 charging points installed across the UK.
