Drive Software Solutions opens graduate recruitment programme

Drive Software Solutions has opened applications for its graduate recruitment programme.

Andrew Burns, CEO of Drive Software, said: “Drive Software Solutions has a long history in Stevenage, this is where we have been based for over 20 years. We have developed the Drive system which is built on the Oracle platform to a level where it is literally transforming the efficiency and flexibility of some of the most successful vehicle leasing companies here in the UK as well as around the world.”

"The success of the system means that we are winning new business and some of the companies we are working with here in the UK are asking us to implement the Drive system into their overseas subsidiaries and even their parent companies. This means we need to recruit and train even more people to help take us and our customers to the next level.”

Head of HR Sue Wheeler said: “To keep up with the required pace of change we are recruiting graduates who have a grounding in technology, but more importantly have a vision for future transport solutions.”

Wheeler added: “For the most recent round of recruiting we set out to find people who had the potential to become Business Consultants. That’s a role which involves working with our leasing and fleet management customers, understanding their business, the issues they face and being able to show them how to get the most out of the configurability of Drive."

“We had 59 applicants for our most recent graduate day, 19 made it through the first round, 7 the second and 3 were invited to Drive HQ to take part in a full day of assessments which looked at their presentation skills, problem solving and how they worked as part of a team as well as their ability to lead a team. I am delighted to say that we have been able to recruit directly from this process and we are looking forward to our next round where we will be looking for future Developers and Software testers.”
