A multiple Fleet News Award-winner will be sharing his insights and experiences in reducing procurement costs with audience members at the annual Fleet News Congress on October 14.

Simon Boggis is a five times Fleet News Awards winner, a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and global chief procurement officer for CEVA Logistics reporting to the CFO within the executive board.

He said: “The Fleet News Awards were a ‘springboard’ for my career, and gave me a higher profile in the industry that has helped me reach my present position.”

With more than 30 years’ continuous service in the industry, Boggis says he will provide an “intriguing insight” into taking what he describes as a fragmented decentralised procurement community and transforming to a global centre-led procurement.

Boggis says the audience will gain a perspective of the key steps taken, along with the advanced technology now used to enhance the procurement function, bringing sustainable value to businesses.

“I want to show the audience how they can use technology in procurement to help bring down costs.”

The Fleet News Congress will be held at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire. For more information contact Kate Howard on 01733 468146 or email kate.howard@bauermedia.co.uk.
