Fleet Assist is expanding its network of franchise and independent service outlets.

Fleet Assist provides its leasing company clients, which collectively operate some 700,000 vehicles, with a nationwide network of audited service outlets delivering service, maintenance and repair (SMR) to pre-agreed terms and conditions, pricing and service standards with quality management and performance monitoring.

Snows Group is among recent recruits to reap the benefits of joining the network along with an ever increasing number of independent garages.

The company says the volume of SMR work through its workshops is 110% of the target set when joining the Fleet Assist network.

Corporate sales manager Richard Betts said: “We joined Fleet Assist because we wanted a greater focus on aftersales. Fleet Assist has proved to be an excellent partner and the volume of fleet-related vehicle work that has passed through our workshops has greatly exceeded our expectations.

“We set an initial throughput target and we are running at 110% of that after the first year of the partnership with Fleet Assist. We are confident that the increase in SMR spend will further rise as we enter the second year of working with Fleet Assist.”

Betts added: “Corporate business is a major part of the Group’s business and that includes sales to fleets and leasing companies as well as aftersales. Our work with Fleet Assist will play a significant role in the future expansion of the business in 2015 and beyond.”

Vincent St Claire, commercial director at Fleet Assist, said: “Fleet Assist continues to seek to develop and refine its network of service outlets to deliver an ever-improving service to our contract hire and leasing company customers.

“However, it is not just about managing the largest network of service outlets. In building a high quality network it is critical that they not only provide competitive terms but we manage and audit service outlets to ensure they meet service level agreements.

“Snows Group as well as the independent garages have proved to be a very important addition to our fully managed network of franchised and non-franchised repairers increasing our nationwide coverage with consistent service delivery levels and highly competitive pricing."
