Thatcham Escribe customers are set to benefit from their fastest ever access to crash repair methods as the registration based Methods Direct application is launched.

Methods Direct, which has been provided to Thatcham subscribers at no additional cost, is a new escribe feature designed to take subscribers from Vehicle Registration Mark (VRM) to repair method in two steps.

The process is now as simple as entering the registration plate of the vehicle and selecting the damaged areas to generate vehicle and repair specific methods.

Senior commercial manager at Thatcham Research, Matthew Wright, said “We’re extremely proud of the depth and quantity of repair data that we provide, but we also recognise that sometimes repairers just want the correct method and quickly – Methods Direct has been designed to provide just that.”

Head of Development, Daniel Payne, added “Methods Direct is further tangible evidence of where Thatcham’s ongoing investment in systems and infrastructure is in turn enabling our customers’ businesses and helping them to achieve even greater efficiencies in repair.”
