Electric Vehicles

Electric vehicles (EVS) have been around for many years, but recent improvements in technology have allowed mainstream manufacturers to offer them as an alternative to petrol and diesel.

Suited more to urban areas than for motorway trips, and normally with a range of up to 100 miles, electric vehicles can be expensive to buy, but are cheap to run.

The cost of charging an EV from the national grid provides you with more range for the same price in petrol or diesel.

Some areas are introducing roadside charging points specifically for EVs, while supermarkets are also considering installing them.
