Lex Autolease has increased operating lease assets by 3% to £3.2 billion from £3.1 billion in the first six months of 2015.

Lex Autolease said it achieved fleet growth of 6,500 vehicles, (2% growth in its fleet size) to more than 300,000 vehicles during the first half of 2015. This represents a year-on-year rise of 6%.

According to the company's figures it delivered more than 37,500 cars and 10,500 commercial vehicles to its customers during the first half of 2015.

It added 8,000 new customers in the first half of 2015, with what it described as a "record number" of new small and medium sized business customer wins.

Tim Porter, managing director of Lex Autolease, said: “Our focus on expanding into the small and medium sized business market and helping these businesses see the benefit in leasing rather than buying vehicles outright, is also reaping dividends.

Porter added: "We will continue to invest heavily in our business to ensure that we continue to meet evolving business needs."
