Description

The role of the Transport Manager is fundamental for the business to achieve its high service levels, ensuring all customer deliveries are completed accurately and on time. They will contribute to developing a customer-oriented, solutions-focused team culture and will take full accountability for the transport budget, KPI's, service levels and the O license. You will be accountable for all people management responsibilities within the team as well as Health and Safety. The successful candidate will take online management for a team of circa 4 office staff and have overall responsibility for a team of circa 30 drivers. You will also be responsible for the fleet maintenance for up to 25 vehicles.

Job Offer

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

Transport Manager CPC and ability to hold the O License
Experience with the handling and distribution of FMCG and temperature-controlled food products. (Desirable)
Good experience of safe working practices and control measures
Customer Service Focus, Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship building, and stakeholder management skills.
An action-oriented individual, who is solutions focused, can manage multiple priorities, and deliver results on time.
A good team player, with attention to detail and good problem-solving skills that follows processes in place and prioritises business improvement.
Experience and relevant qualifications in Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and IOSSH procedures.
Experience managing people in all aspects of the employee lifecycle, coaching, mentoring, and teambuilding skills.
Experience preparing and managing action plans and budgets effectively including cost management
