Volkswagen Group has issued recalls across a number of its brands to address problems with its DSG semi-automatic gearbox.

  • Volkswagen Jetta, Golf, Eos, Passat, Scirocco, Touran and Caddy with DSG built from 01/09/08-31/08/09 (loss of drive due to clutch fault).
  • Audi TT and A3 with DSG built from 01/09/08-31/08/09 (loss of drive due to clutch fault).
  • Skoda Octavia and Superb with DSG built from 01/09/08-31/08/09 (loss of drive due to clutch fault).
  • Volvo XC90 for loss of power assistance with steering (no build dates
  • available).
  • Volvo XC60 for possible fuel leak (no build dates available).
  • Ford C-Max built from 01/06/06-25/01/07 (risk of overheating and fire due to faulty cooling fan).
  • Land Rover Defender (pictured below) built from 07/06/07-13/02/08 (faulty parking brake).
  • Mercedes-Benz is also carrying out modifications to a small number of C-Class models fitted with a faulty batch of injectors (no build dates available).
  • Only specific VINs are affected for each model.
