Nationwide Accident Repair Services has announced the appointment of Steve Crowley as business development manager in the South West for the accident management and repair group.

Crowley is one of eight new business development managers who are being recruited as part of a team which will be supporting the fleet market and local businesses across the UK.

He will be working alongside the six Nationwide Repair Centres in the South West to develop relationships with existing business customers and bring Nationwide’s list of services to new clients.

Alongside fixed site vehicle repairs, Nationwide’s mobile services, Mobile Repair and Motorglass, offer automotive repairs on driveways and in company car parks, and are designed to reduce vehicle off road time to less than one day wherever possible.

In addition, Nationwide offers complete accident management, insurance claim handling, end-of-life services for contract vehicles, plus hire and courtesy cars.

Crowley, who previously worked for Prudential and DPD UK (formally Parceline), also served on the very first British nuclear submarine HMS Dreadnought and later on HMS Courageous.

He said: “Nationwide has an exceptional range of services for fleet managers, and one of the most important elements of my role is to make new and existing customer aware of these – many people still assume that Nationwide only offers insurance vehicle repairs.

“All of the Nationwide Repair Centres in my region are excellent and are perfectly positioned to support local businesses; I am really looking forward to working alongside them in the months ahead.”
