The Toomey Group has announced the consolidation of its leasing companies into one organisation - Toomey Leasing Group.

In a step intended to increase growth both organically and by acquisition, it combines the businesses of Toomey Hire and Leasing, Toomey Eurolease, Toomey Skyway, Toomey Opticar and Toomey Westlease.

“We have a highly successful leasing business within a diverse and profitable group supported by a strong portfolio of assets,” said Paul Plant, CEO of the Toomey Group.

“Very few companies in our industry can boast this pedigree, and whilst we will continue to provide the highest levels of service through the five locations, the combining of the businesses will give us access to better manufacturer terms and funding rates for our clients.”

Plant went on to say that the change would be seamless to existing clients and that “it’s business as usual” at the five offices in Basildon, Derby, Chester, Luton and Poole.

The management teams remain unchanged and there will be additional career opportunities for sales personnel, particularly those with sound contract hire and Employee Car Ownership experience.

“Our product portfolio is already one of the widest in the industry across the five companies and during 2012 we will be launching a new online platform to bring these all under one roof,” said Plant.

“The Optifleet system, that was originally launched in 2000 to ECO clients for online mileage capture and scheme management, will be significantly enhanced in Optifleet3 to cater for fleets of all shapes and sizes.”

Toomey Leasing Group Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Laindon Holdings Limited and a member of the Toomey Group.
