According to Annette Winkler, head of Smart, drivers of Smart cars spend 40% less time driving short journeys.

“As well as saving money, Smart Cars save time, driving short trips and parking takes 40% less time in a Smart,” said Winkler.

At this year’s Paris Motor Show, Smart displayed the new forstars concept, providing audiences with a glimpse of the future of Smart technology and to showcase the exterior styling set to feature in the next generation of models.

The electrically driven smart forstars is an SUC (Sports Utility Coupé) with room for two people. The electric drive of the smart forstars is based on the smart fortwo BRABUS electric drive. Compared to the production model of the smart electric drive the output of the magneto-electric motor has been increased to 80 bhp.

“Our Smart is the least expensive electric car in Europe. Electric powertrain offer us a wealth of opportunity, makes features in cars possible that have never been in conventional cars," said Winkler.
