Climatecars, the London based green car service, has become the first British car fleet to run the Mercedes-Benz E300 BlueTEC hybrid.

The Mercedes-Benz E300 BlueTEC Hybrid will become Climatecars’ new executive option for their customers who wish to travel in style, whilst still reducing their carbon footprint.

One of the world’s most economical luxury-class models, the E 300 BlueTEC Hybrid combines the benefits of an efficient 2.2 litre 4-cylinder diesel engine with a powerful 20 kW electric motor, and can achieve a remarkable 67.3 mpg, combined with CO2 emissions of 109 g/km.

Nick Andrews, head of fleet at Mercedes-Benz UK, said: “The E300 BlueTEC Hybrid provides both luxury and efficiency, and we are pleased to provide companies like Climatecars the solution to their vehicle needs.”

Nicko Williamson, founder and managing director of Climatecars, says: “Climatecars are delighted to be the first in the UK to run the Mercedes-Benz E300 BlueTEC Hybrid vehicles. Our clients have expressed a desire for premium vehicles and now finally we have a luxury hybrid in the E-Class to offer them as an alternative to our standard hybrid. Climatecars is about offering a green alternative with superior service and at no extra cost, so the E300 BlueTEC Hybrid fits our mould perfectly.”
