The Leasing Foundation have appointed existing board members Derek Soper (IAA-Advisory) and Tarun Mistry (Grant Thornton LLP) to promoted roles in the organisation.

Derek Soper will become Chairman, with responsibility for leading the board and advising the CEO on mission and strategy; Tarun Mistry will become CFO, with responsibility for the Foundation’s financial development and growth strategy.

Andrew Denton, CEO of the Foundation, says: "That Derek and Tarun have agreed to work in these key roles will ensure the Leasing Foundation can move forward with its ambition to fundamentally change the way people in the leasing and asset finance industry work together. Derek’s five decades of experience in global leasing and asset finance, banking and financial services is a huge resource for us, and Tarun’s wide range of financial experience - including motor, fleet, rail, rental, consumer finance and renewable energy - provides us with valuable insights that will help us grow and develop.”

These are part of a series of appointments that include Mary McNamara as Chair of Governors, and Lindsay Town as Chair of Fellows, along with the CEO and COO roles taken by Andrew Denton and Peter Thomas. The Foundation has also added new Governors, including Ian Isaac (Lombard) with several other high profile appointments to be announced this summer, and over 20 new Fellow appointments.
