Wincor Nixdorf has appointed Pendragon Contracts as its sole provider for “essential user fleet” and contract hire in the UK after a competitive tender process.

The winning commercial proposal focused on strong whole life cost benefits and a thorough assessment of the best vehicle choice for the hard working fleet.

Wincor Nixdorf has used a small number of contract hirers for its fleet of around 250 cars and 50 vans in the past, but this year will be replacing over 70 vehicles driven by its engineers with Pendragon Contracts.  The services will include contract hire with maintenance and daily rental.

Fleet manager Jill Woolnough said: “Pendragon Contracts’ service has been very good over the years and its latest proposal was so considered and compelling we felt comfortable in awarding the contract to the company on a solus basis. We conducted thorough research into potential vehicles’ carrying capacity for our engineers’ equipment, and determined the new Skoda Octavia Estate addressed this requirement effectively, as well as making sound commercial sense.”
