The Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM) has appointed David Brown, business development manager at the Leasedrive Group, to its Council.

Chairman of the ICFM Roddy Graham said: “David Brown is another new member to Council that I am delighted to welcome on board.

“When appointing new members to Council we are always looking to how they will contribute to the institute’s development and David’s outstanding wealth of contacts in the public sector will undoubtedly enable us to make a greater impact in this sector with its large fleets.

“I am sure David will add significant value to the ICFM Council and the ICFM membership with his enormous experience and enthusiasm.”

Brown has worked in the car industry throughout his professional career, starting his working life as an apprentice at a VW dealership and entering the fleet industry in 1980.

Currently business development manager at the Leasedrive Group, focusing on the public and fund-raising sectors, he previously worked in a similar capacity at Inchcape Fleet Solutions and PHH (now Arval), as well as a spell for himself as a broker.

His current role includes account managing some public sector and charity fleets as well as courting new opportunities in these sectors.

Brown is a broadly experienced customer service provider, skilled in delivering long-term, high quality customer support to a demanding customer base.

He has been an ICFM member since December 2005.
