Santander Consumer Finance has renewed its contract with vehicle remarketing specialist Manheim for a further three years, as part of its ongoing strategy to maintain robust residual values.

With values in the de-fleet sector currently at their highest point since May 2014, Santander will continue to have access to the full suite of Manheim’s remarketing strategies and close working relationships with dealers and other buyers nationwide.

The association between the two companies spans 16 years, with Manheim maintaining Santander’s remarketing strategies.

As part of this, Santander currently benefits from a nationwide sales programme, with regular auctions taking place at Manheim sale sites in Bristol, Colchester, Mansfield, Manchester and Washington.

Alongside these ongoing, regular events, Manheim is celebrating its renewed association with Santander by introducing quarterly, ‘centre for the day’ sales. These will see one of Manheim’s auction sites turned over to Santander for the day for a bespoke sale event.

Russell Hopkins, account director at Manheim, said: “We’re delighted Santander Consumer Finance has decided to continue its association with Manheim.

“Santander sale events are always well attended and we’re looking forward to developing these further.

“The ‘centre for the day sales’ we’re planning to host in 2015 will further expand Santander’s remarketing capabilities, and we’re excited to be working on these with them.

“Over the course of 16 years, Manheim has established a solid working relationship with Santander Consumer Finance, something we’re eager to build upon going forwards.”
