Video-based driver safety specialist Lytx has announced Damian Penney as its new vice president and general manager, for the European region.

Penney will be responsible for providing executive leadership to Lytx’s European operations with a focus on driving the company’s growth and momentum forward.

Penney, who has more than 20 years of experience in the European transportation sector, joins Lytx as Paul Jones, who has been leading the European team, returns to Lytx corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA.

Prior to joining Lytx, Penney was managing director at Peak-Ryzex & Movilitas Consulting UK, where his organisation provided end-to-end managed services, consultancy, enterprise mobility, printing and mobile data capture solutions for organisations focused on supply chain optimisation and field-based business processes.

Earlier in his career, Penney served as sales and marketing director at LXE (now Honeywell) responsible for achieving rapid, profitable growth and structural change across all European sales, marketing and partner operations.

Penney’s background also includes various business development leadership roles at several technology companies that specialise in software development, consulting, client services, alliances, sales and marketing.
