Carweb has launched a new SMR platform called WorkProvider, which it believes will give the fleet industry an alternative to the Epyx 1link platform.

WorkProvider provides OEM part numbers, part pricing, and labour times. It has sourced data from more than 50 manufacturers to help ensure OEM Service schedules and repair times are accurate.

Fleets are able to import their fleet list by providing the vehicle registration numbers and the system is able to identify more than 30 million vehicles. The WorkProvider platform allows SMR history to be maintained, and is backwards compatible, allowing historical SMR records from other platforms.

The system automatically authorises work using fleet companies' own rule sets. Labour rates are in line with fleet companies' agreed terms and conditions with their repair network. A traffic light system shows where workshops have deviated from OEM labour times and parts pricing.

The platform also provides live monitoring of vehicle downtime.

Commenting on the launch, Sam Wallace (pictured) of Carweb, said: “We have designed and built WorkProvider to give the fleet and leasing industry a more comprehensive alternative to the Epyx 1link platform."

Carweb is owned by Solera, which also owns Cap HPI.
