Flintshire County Council has entered a seven-year partnership with Essential Fleet Services for the supply and maintenance of its 300-plus vehicle fleet.

The new arrangement will result in Essential Fleet Services providing funding, fleet management and a full maintenance service for the entire council vehicle fleet from the council's Alltami depot in Flintshire.

Bernie Attridge, deputy leader and cabinet member for environment at Flintshire council, said: “The new arrangement will allow the council to benefit from a partnership with an experienced fleet supplier who will bring cost savings and new efficiencies to the service alongside the provision of an enhanced and modern vehicle fleet.

"It will ensure that Flintshire County Council will have the right vehicles at the right time to deliver the essential frontline services the county’s residents depend upon and I look forward to working with our new partner over the coming years.’’

Ed Hummel, sales director at Essential Fleet Services, said “Flintshire is now one of our biggest customers, and we are proud to be working with such a forward-thinking local authority.”
