Fleet industry suppliers have been urged to ‘be prepared’ to meet hundreds of potential customers at October’s Fleet Management LIVE.

Feedback from the last year’s record-breaking event reveals that fleet managers want to engage with experts on supplier stands to review their most pressing questions and the supplier’s suitability for their fleet.

Fleet Management LIVE is renowned for attracting senior decision-makers and influencers, who account for around four-fifths of visitors, while nearly one-third have board level responsibilities.

This makes the first meeting critical to securing future meetings and an ongoing relationship, as visitors look for clear evidence of detailed product knowledge, industry expertise and good customer service.

Following last year’s show, visitors intended to carry out thousands of follow-up enquiries and quotation requests with suppliers, with a third already expecting to place an order.

Chris Lester, event director, said: “Industry suppliers have a unique chance to influence a very large number of potential customers at Fleet Management LIVE.

"To maximise this opportunity, they need to ensure their teams are fully briefed and ready to handle board-level enquiries from visitors, as this could lead to substantial rewards after the show.”

The two-day Fleet Management LIVE, which takes place at the NEC on October 3-4, has become the UK’s biggest fleet event, with more than 1,500 visitors expected to pass through the doors this year.
