Following the acquisition of Go Plant in the summer by Essential Fleet Services, the merger of the two businesses has now been completed.

The combined business will operate under the new name of Go Plant Fleet Services.

The merger brings together two businesses with customers across the public and private sectors and creates a group with sales of £80 million, more than 500 employees and 35 depots and service centres across the UK.

Mandy Brown joins Go Plant Fleet Services as national business development director. She joins with 15 years' experience developing business, both directly in the public sector and with large corporate organisations who deliver key services in that space.

Philip Quelch joins on January 1 as national fleet engineering director. He joins Go Plant Fleet Services from Serco, where he held a similar position for nine years, and brings with him more than 30 year's fleet and plant vehicle experience.

Go Plant Fleet Services have also appointed Arthur Macklin as bid manager. Most recently he provided commercial and contract management and bidding services to organisations including Highways England, Balfour Beatty, Aggregate Industries, and Go Plant.
