Truck Excellence and Van Excellence audits, when supplemented by additional audit items, have been recognised by Transport for London (TfL) as alternative schemes that meet TfL’s work-related road risk clauses.
At an operator’s request, FTA can now supplement its Truck and Van Excellence audits with additional items covering TfL’s contractual work-related road risk (WRRR) clauses. Equivalency of Truck and Van Excellence with the addition of ‘Section 7 – TfL contractual clauses’ is for the purpose of compliance with TfL contractual WRRR clause and does not entitle the operator to FORS bronze accreditation.
James Hookham, FTA’s deputy chief executive, said: “We are pleased that we have been able to agree a basis with TfL for offering an alternative scheme equivalent to FORS Bronze accreditation. This will provide a new way for operators to achieve the fleet operator recognition standards set by TfL.”
Ian Wainwright, head of freight and fleet at TfL, said: “We recognise the FTA’s Truck and Van Excellence schemes – when supplemented by additional audit items – as compliant with one of our contractual requirements.”
