Audi has unveiled its H-Tron hydrogen quattro SUV concept at the Detroit motor show.

The model has fuel cell drive, with additional an lithium-ion battery for boosting and recuperation.

The hydrogen fuel offers a range of up to 372 miles on one tank, with consumption of around one kilogram of hydrogen per 62 miles.Refuelling takes approximately four minutes.

The vehicle offers 0-62 mph in under seven seconds, with an 124 mph top speed.

Other innovations include a large solar roof that generates up to 320 watts, equivalent to adding up to 620 miles to the range annually.​
