Vauxhall has released the first images of the all-new Insignia Sports Tourer ahead of its world premiere at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show next month.

The Insignia Sports Tourer is based on completely new vehicle architecture and is bigger, lighter and more efficient than the outgoing model.

Luggage capacity has increased to 1,640 litres and the length of the boot has grown by 97mm. 40/20/40 foldable seats are available, making it even more practical.

To make loading as easy as possible the rear overhang had been shortened and the tailgate can be opened by a simple small kicking motion under the rear bumper.

Engineers have managed to shed up to 20Kg thanks to the use of lightweight materials and efficient packaging.

There is a raft of technologies that make driving the Insignia Sports Tourer safer, more relaxing and more comfortable than before. IntelliLux LED matrix lighting, Lane Keep Assist, Head-up Display and unique AGR-certified premium seats, front- and rear-seat heating and a heated windscreen are all available on the new model.

Smartphones can be seamlessly integrated into the vehicle’s infotainment software, wireless phone charging is available and Vauxhall’s connectivity and service assistant, OnStar, is also on board.
