BMW has showcased a four-door fully-electric Gran Coupe, the i Vision Dynamics.

It is designed to slot in between the i3 and i5 and promises a 373-mile range with acceleration from 0-62mph in just four seconds.

“With the BMW i Vision Dynamics we are showcasing how we envisage future electric mobility between the BMW i3 and BMW i8: a dynamic and progressive, four- door Gran Coupe. We are therefore electrifying the heart of the BMW brand and, at the same time, elevating BMW i into a totally new dimension,” said Harald Krüger, chairman of the Board of Management at BMW AG.

The BMW i Vision Dynamics is the latest fruit of the BMW Group’s rigorously applied electric mobility strategy.

By 2025 the BMW Group says it will have 25 models with electrified drive systems in its line-up. 12 of these will be pure electric and therefore produce zero local emissions.

The BMW Concept X7 iPerformance is also celebrating its world premiere in Frankfurt, as the company showcases a fresh understanding of luxury within the BMW brand’s model line-up.

The exterior design of the first Sports Activity Vehicle in the luxury segment is headlined by imposing dimensions and a captivating presence.

Step inside, and the BMW Concept X7 iPerformance underscores its progressive sense of opulence with generous levels of space for six people, exquisite materials and an infotainment system brimming with intelligent connectivity.

The BMW iPerformance model’s plug-in hybrid drive system, which brings together BMW eDrive technology and a petrol engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, apparently lends the car outstanding dynamism and efficiency.

The concept study provides a window into a new series-production BMW for the luxury segment; the forthcoming BMW X7 will be unveiled in 2018.
